Wish you luck on the expedition Stan & Co. The QTH is great for working NA & Pacific.
I often used to go to ‘Gamlemetten’ during weekends off work.
Please look for USA around 00UTC on 6M. JX7SIX (10W GP) were spotted frequently during summer some years ago.

Hi Stan and Team,
I look forward to work you on air for a new country.
Any band, any mode will do!
From here I seem to work the Arctic Circle stations ok, but I’m sure the pileups will be fierce!
Good luck with your preparations and activation.

HURRA, then I succeded, after many evenings, 9.7.2011 2144z 10124.0 kc/s (ur qrg), 10125.6 kc/s (my qrg), both ways 5 9 9.
Well, I did not know which qrg i had to use, but, as I told, I succeded.
In 2 1/2 years, I was in North East Greenland, WX station DANMARKSHAVN, pos 7646N 1846W, I was one of 4 radiofficers, together, we were 12 men and several dogs. My callsign was OX3OO. I had a lot of qso ´s with JX2HK from a Norwegian WX stn. – we made qrm for each other. , I visited JX for a short while on my way back to OZ, I was, from the Thala Dan (ship), by its helicopter, lifted in.
Tnx fer qso, I hope to meet u later in other band(s).

Thanks for the 17m SSB QSO. It was difficult with poor propagation but I managed to get at least one QSO in the log.
Have a safe journey home.

Dr. members of the expedition JX5O.
It has been a pleasure for me to work the Island of Jan Mayen, all the operators did a good job, I have often been listening for u.
I enjoyed when the operators, ran slow speed if a calling stn. did not used the “normal” high spped, u did it easy for all to work u, is shows the HAM SPIRIT.
I am sorry I “only” worked JX5O in 10 mc/s, I worked u 2 times
May I wish u a good travel homeward bound, the waters around Jan Mayen are often bad with heavy storms, even in the summer period.

Very glad to work you !!! Been looking for JX since 1990. Rig here a Flex 1500 , 5 watts to a ZeroFive 40 meter vertical and K1EL keyboard keyer.
Many thanks again !!!
George Osier , N2JNZ/QRP
Was great to work JX5O — a new one for me, and a difficult path as I am just behind a steep hill toward Jan Mayen. Thanks for digging out my weak signal! 73, Ken
Kept a watch on the 6m beacon but not a blip. Had the OX beacon in but no sign of the JW’s or JX :-(((
Thanks for the effort and safe voyage back. 73 Dick de G1CWP/G0LFF
Thanks for being there and thanks for the all time new one (only need Monaco now to complete Europe). Wish conditions had been better, but we’ll take what we were able to achieve. Very thankful. 73s and return home safely.

Thanks very much for the QSOs from a unique QTH. Enjoyed the photo album very much…what an adventure. LOTW QSLs starting to appear today…very FB! Thanks again. 73/DX Pat, W5VY
If ever, when could we expect the QSL cards? A lot of us have paid for them via OQRS, but nothing happend.
Even an email is still without response…
Reply, or you will be the first DX-Pedition beeing in the Nino club like TG9AX
Thanks,
Wilm
What a nice reply after almost 2 month.
I’ve read about your health issues, but was there nobody in the team helping you out?
I had medical issues in the past, but there was everytime everybody in the team to help me fixing an issue!
Next time, ask the team, and don’t bother the contributors with a short answer like this.
Sincerly,
Wilm, DL4OCH
Please accept my and the DX community’s best wishes for good health. We appreciate your efforts on behalf of us and understand your concerns.
TU es GL always!
